Testers at MTB-mag.com have a new favourite saddle.

DMR has been the saddle game for jump bikes for a while now, but the Stage1 is their entry into the trail / enduro world. The team over at mtb-mag.com did a long-term test of the Stage1 and reported back enthusiastically.

“We were not expecting to discover what we could call a gem of a saddle with the DMR Stage1… saddle choice is personal, but if [you’re] looking for a good value quality comfortable saddle, the DMR Stage1 just jumped to the top of our list of saddles.”   – MTB-mag.com

stage1-tube-co2Constructed from lightweight foam and chromo rails, the saddle weighs in at 270g, with included RideSaver system to store tube/CO2 or tools on race day.

“We tried the saddle over a period of a few months and have to say it surprised us about how comfortable it was. The surface finish was good in all weather conditions, and we could feel that the claimed mobility in front of the nose…

The middle channel definitely added to the comfort factor and we felt no undue pressure on our lower regions after many hours on the bike. In the durability stakes we crashed a few times and threw everything we had at the bike, we can honestly say that is stood up to all the abuse we dished out.”

DMR’s Stage1 is available in Black, Black / Orange, and Black / Lime, MSRP $74.99 CAD, from your local Live to Play Sports dealer.
