First stop was Spank HQ, which is conveniently situated in a small tower block above The Early Bird Diner, a favourite hangout for many in the bike industry. I didn’t know this and so it was a bit of a surprise when, despite being the other side of the world, I found myself bumping into a friend from back home. I hate the expression “it’s a small world”, but when you’re involved in the bike industry it certainly seems to be that way. This is perhaps no more evident than when you realise that so many brands have their products made in the same factory…”
