Cyclist Magazine Reviews the Endura Pro SL Classics Waterproof Jersey

It’s rare that a single article of clothing can excel in the varied conditions that we see this time of year, but Endura’s Pro SL Classics waterproof jersey is doing just that. This waterproof, windproof, and highly breathable fitted jersey is the ideal combination of weather protection and performance functionality that winter riders look for. If a single layer can protect from the elements while controlling temperature and comfort it can replace a host of less advanced products.

Cyclist Magazine recently reviewed the Pro SL Classics jersey. After through testing on the road (and in the shower, to test permeability), they found that it was easily up to the task of protecting them in inclement U.K. riding conditions. The riders admired the jersey’s clean, race-ready cut and finish.

“The whole assemblage is fairly svelte, from the race-orientated cut, to the thin fabric, and neatly cut and welded hems. The cumulative effect is that the jersey sits flush against the rider with a minimum of superfluous material to flap around and catch the wind.”

The Pro-SL Classics Jersey has a particularly high waterproof rating of 30’000mm/24hr, which is impressive for any waterproof-rated outer layer. The surprising part for many is the breathability of 25’000/m2/24hr, which is typically only found with lightweight windbreaker-style outer layers.

The design features of the jacket were also very popular with the testers, especially the drop-tail and deep pockets that the jersey hides.

“Extending below the pockets is a low hanging flap. Easily tucked back up underneath in dry conditions, when the rain is pummelling you, or your back wheel is throwing up spray, you’ll be glad it’s there to reinforce the junction between jersey and shorts.”

The conclusion is that the Pro SL Classics jersey is a great fit for those looking for a performance cut from their winter riding gear. This jersey, along with the bulk of Endura’s new late-season riding gear, is arriving soon at your local Live to Play Sports dealer.
