As Web Content Coordinator, Rachael Raven is the new editor of Live to Play Sports’ website and social media channels.
Recently relocated from Ottawa, ON, Rachael has a background in journalism and previously acted as communications specialist for the Canadian office of the International Mountain Bicycling Association.
Throughout 2012 and 2013, Rachael also had the unique experience of living out of a car with her husband while they traveled across Canada educating cycling clubs and other organizations about IMBA’s sustainable trail building practices. They also stopped to check out tons of riding destinations and bike retailers along the way!
Based out of our Port Coquitlam headquarters, Rachael will develop content for Live To Play Sports and its proprietary brands, including reporting on distributed brand news and original feature content.
I’m happiest on my mountain bike, exploring new trails with friends, but I also enjoy road riding, and commute daily. I love the rush that you can get on a bike, but also the calm and introspective nature of cycling – my daily ride to and from work helps me to wind down and see the world around me. I truly believe that bikes and active transportation make the world a better place, and look forward to sharing news and stories which will hopefully encourage more people to get back on the saddle!
