A huge congratulations to Andrea Giles – LTP Sports and Five Ten athlete – who will advance to the Canadian Climbing Nationals following a herculean effort at the CEC National Qualifiers last weekend, held at at Seven Bays Bouldering in Halifax.

The qualifying round saw athletes from the Maritimes and Newfoundland trying their hardest to climb the six most challenging problems that they could find from a selection of over 30, within the allotted 3 hours.

With three tops in the final round of competition (reaching the top of the climbing wall after surmounting all of the challenges in the way), Andrea actually tied for first in the final round, and so points were counted all the way back to qualifiers, placing her just behind Krista Demolitor for the overall points standing.

Andrea’s solid finish guarantees her a spot in the Canadian Nationals to be held at Bolder Climbing Community in Calgary in March 2019.
