Lizard Skins Grips Give Back to the North Shore Trails

The North Shore mountains of British Columbia are known around the world for being a mountain biking mecca- home to the gnarly roots, rocks, and features that spurred a revolution in Mountain biking. The folks at Lizard Skins recognize this, and have designed the North Shore Lock-on grip to support riders in the slick, steep and rough conditions that make ‘the shore’ so famous.

Lizard Skins also recognize that the amazing trails that BC is known for are the result of countless hours of work by dedicated trail crews. To support the efforts of trail builders, Lizard Skins donates a percentage of proceeds from their North Shore grips to the North Shore MTB association, to help them with the upkeep of famous trails like Ladies Only on Mount Fromme and the new-school John Deer on Mount Seymour.

At Interbike this year Lizard Skins presented a cheque for $3500 to the NSMBA, as well as a $1500 cheque to the Moab Trails Alliance in the United States. Such a donation will go far in allowing trail crews to ensure that the trails in the North Shore remain rideable and sustainable for years to come.

If trail advocacy inspires you, head to your local Live to Play Sports dealer, where you can find information about helping the trail builders in your area. While you’re there, pick up a pair of Lizard Skins North Shore grips, and enjoy the added comfort and control of a well-designed lock-on grip while giving back to the North Shore trails.
