Staff Pick: DMR V-Twin Pedals

DMRrating

LTP Sports Marketing Coordinator Derek Kidd has been putting DMR’s new V-Twin pedals through their paces since their release earlier this year. Whether hauling up fire road climbs of his home trails on Burke mountain, or enjoying the long technical descents of the North Shore mountains, the V-Twin pedals have held up admirably!

The V-Twin is the most adaptable caged-clip system on the market, offering a wide range of a grip and support options. They come supplied with cleats, but work equally well with existing SPD cleats.

The V-Twin features a pair of nylon bumpers on each side of the pedal. These bumpers can fit a number of grip pins, and their height is adjustable with supplied metal shims.

“It’s easy to dial in the fit of these pedals to match my shoes perfectly. The best support I’ve found out of any pedal I’ve used”

While the V-Twin pedals aren’t particularly light, they more than make up for the extra grams by being incredibly tough. These pictures don’t do justice to the abuse these pedals have taken on North Shore rocks. After multiple hard hits they still spin perfectly, and exhibit no signs of damage apart from some chips to the paint.

“I would recommend these pedals to anyone who’s looking for a more supportive pedal for aggressive off-road riding. Especially if you have a tendency to miss the cleat when you try and clip-in through rough terrain, the DMR V-Twin will grip your shoes like a flat pedal and get you through safely.”
-Derek

Live to Play Sports stocks the DMR V-Twin pedals, and they can be easily found through your local Live to Play Sports dealer, who can also help you set up your cleats and bumper height!
