Is this your year to get a new bike for the big Gran Fondo?
Are you taking on the Ride to Conquer Cancer? The MS Bike Tour? Ride for Diabetes? Or maybe you just want to spin some back roads, take in a few wineries, and get in shape along the way? If you need a bicycle to do it all, experts at Norco Bicycles suggest the Valence road bike.
Watch the Norco Valence road bike in action:
Norco engineers designed the Valence series of endurance bikes specifically to meet your need for speed—and comfort. “Basically, the Valence has two different personalities,” says the Valence’s frame engineer, PJ Hunton. “On one side it has a real performance aspect with the power chassis, which means when you stand up to pedal it’s stiff and just rockets forward. On the flipside, we’ve designed an element of comfort with ARC Endurance stays in the frame and tapered forks that help absorb road vibrations.”
The result is a bike that is light and fast like a race bike, but forgiving of real-world road surfaces. That means a lot if you’re in the saddle for eight, ten, or twelve hours.
New for 2016, the Valence comes equipped with disc brakes. The enhanced stopping power provides added security when riding with large groups and is extremely advantageous in wet conditions.
The Valence is offered in aluminum and carbon models. The SUB-1000G Carbon frame has size scaled tubing with GIZMO universal internal cable routing, making this endurance bike one of the lightest and sleekest on the market.
