Find new riding destinations with Pinkbike’s crowd-sourced trails database, Trailforks

p5pb11345408

Launched in 2014, Trailforks.com is a mountain bike trail database and management system for riders, builders, and trail associations. Run by the Squamish-based team at Pinkbike, Trailforks collects GPS info, photos, and trail condition reports from users and then works with local trail associations to approve and curate the data. This, according to Trailforks, ensures the best, latest, and most accurate data.

“Trailforks relies on the fact that there are thousands of people out there enjoying the sport every day, many of whom have a desire to share their experiences via GPS devices. So why not share them in a central location under a structure that makes every little individual contribution accumulate and add to the usefulness of an overall resource for the benefit of the entire mountain biking community.” – trailforks.com/about

The website also offers a number of unique features which sets it apart from other databases, including promoting clubs and encouraging users to join or donate to their local trail association.

Users can join for free (or use their existing pinkbike account) and browse trails and upload ride reports at trailforks.com or with the free app.

Check it out, and plan your next adventure!
