Stiff, quick to engage, and easy to maintain, DT Swiss’ XM 1501 Spline One 29er wheels are reviewed in the most recent issue of Dirt Rag.
From Dirt Rag #175:
“Like most wheel makers, DT uses its own rim tape to seal up tubeless and our tires mounted up quickly and easily without leaking. The Spline Ones have a solid, predictable feel, and never burped air at low pressures or felt flexy and timid. While they’re not an ultra light XC weight (at 1,700 grams a pair they’re close though), the quick engagement from the Ratchet Freewheel System made me forget about that small nuance for endurance riding. For trail bikes in the 130mm to 150mm range they’re considered very light weight and are ultra durable, making them a slam dunk for long days on tough trails.”
