Best known for their cassettes and chain retention systems, E-thirteen have been bringing high quality wet-weather mountain bike tires to market for almost a year now. Their TRS tire system has been exceptionally popular so far, with stellar reviews from media, including Pinkbike<\/a>, VitalMTB<\/a> and Bikeradar<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The TRS+ and TRSr tires are the latest offerings to hit the shelves at Live to Play Sports. Both feature the same tough casing and aggressive tread pattern.<\/p>\n

The TRS+<\/strong> is a\u00a0true 2.35\u201d width tire optimized for modern inner rim widths of 24-31mm. It features a\u00a0durable dual compound (61a\/50a). A<\/span>\u00a0row of hard-biting side knobs is bolstered by an angled, structural base to control roll under high speed cornering. Sipes on the knob surfaces are positioned to provide confidence while transitioning from straight line to cornering and back, and underpin excellent braking traction. Ramped, shorter center\u00a0knobs keep all TRS tires rolling fast.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The fanciest knobs in the world are useless without a solid foundation, so the TRS series of tires feature a\u00a0sturdy enduro-specific casing\u00a0with a tough reinforced sidewall. This burly structure guarantees that the tire won\u2019t fold under compression when you need grip the most, but still hits a sub 1000g weight.<\/p>\n

TRS tires are designed to be easy to mount tubeless;\u00a0<\/span>one of the main goals in developing the tires was to perfect the tubeless fit. That means a tubeless compatible bead that works with both hooked and hookless rims and won\u2019t squirm on the rim or burp sealant under extreme cornering loads.<\/span><\/p>\n

The TRSr<\/strong> is the race version of the TRS+. This tire features\u00a0the same tread pattern\u00a0and casing of the TRS+, but sports a triple compound\u00a0for ultimate grip. The softer<\/span>\u00a0compound (42a\/40a+72a) is exceptionally sticky for improved wet-weather handling.<\/span><\/p>\n
