Haro kicks off 2016 in style with their signing of San Diego\u2019s,\u00a0Chad Kerley<\/a> to Haro<\/a> -with the support of\u00a0Premium Products<\/a> for parts.\u00a0Chad has been a long time friend of everyone on the Haro BMX team and has decided to make the move.<\/p>\n

Chad is already a BMX super-star with a huge social following and gold medal in Street at the X Games. Chad will play a major role in Haro\u2019s future and will be working on a signature Pro Model Haro frame. We can\u2019t wait to see what they come up with!<\/p>\n

Vital MTB checked out Chad\u2019s bike and asked him some questions about his move to the Haro crew.<\/p>\n

Excerpts from Vital MTB:<\/p>\n

What was your initial reaction to the change?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It felt right – like it makes sense this way. I\u2019m so hyped to be a part of the crew!<\/p>\n

It seems that you were a bit of a big fish in a small pond with Premium. How does it feel to join a bigger, better team?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yeah. It feels the way it should now. I was by myself at Premium this past year. So, being a part of a team of close homies and sick riders is a privilege for sure.<\/p>\n

Seeing as how you\u2019re still sponsored by Premium (for parts), what exactly is different?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019ll be riding a Haro frame and Premium parts. Nothing really changes. I\u2019ll still have my CK line of bars, forks, and tires with Premium.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve obviously been down with the Haro crew for years. How does it feel to formally join Dennis, Nyquist, Fernengel, and the rest of the boys?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s definitely an honor! It\u2019s pretty epic to be on a team with legends like Nyquist and DMC. And, the rest of the crew are all good homies that are fun to ride with.<\/p>\n

I know you just got off a Haro trip to Puerto Rico. How was that?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was amazing. It was my first time being on a trip with a few of the dudes and I felt like a part of the squad right away. I got to know Jason Watts and he had us cracking up the whole time. I\u2019m already close with most of the crew so it was chill. I really couldn\u2019t have asked for a better welcoming.<\/p>\n

Word on the street is you\u2019ve got a new signature frame in the works. What do you plan on changing from the Premium CK frame?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yeah. I\u2019m going to have a new signature frame with Haro. I\u2019m gonna change the colors, the graphics, shorten the rear end, and change some other specs. I have a sample one in the works, so I\u2019ll be making sure everything feels the way I want it.<\/p>\n

Will you have a signature complete bike from Haro?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yeah, I think so. It would have all Premium parts on it and stuff, which would be dope.<\/p>\n

Any new signature parts in the works for Premium?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yeah. We\u2019re working on a new stem and I know they\u2019re working on some new grips, too.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s next for Chad Kerley and Haro?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m gonna start working on a welcome video part with Christian Rigal and we have a Premium edit that\u2019s gonna drop soon, too. I\u2019m just hyped to be a part of Haro and looking forward to more good times with the squad!<\/p>\n
