The final stage of the Tour of Picardy finished a few days ago. The race ended in a mass sprint, in which Greg Henderson finished in second place.
\nTeam leader Michiel Elijzen: “We didn’t quite made lots of action during the race. Every team was busy preparing his sprinters for the final kilometers. Also we did it, and with success. In the last 20 kilometers we regrouped and from the last 5 kilometers on, we prepared for the sprint. Everybody worked hard and so we could bring Henderson in position. It’s a pity Degenkolb was just a bit faster, it was very close.”<\/p>\n

    In stage 8 of the Giro d\u2019Italia an early escape stranded on the final climb. Lotto Belisol very present in the front lines on that climb and so De Clercq, one year after his stunt in a hilly stage in the Giro, and De Greef could follow a long time with the leading group. Finally one acceleration of Pozzovivo was enough to decide the race.<\/p>\n
