The Cane Creek Helm fork <\/a>has been on the market for a few months now, enough time for it to have been thoroughly tested through a summer of dusty trails and bike park laps. The fork arrived with some fanfare- a welcome addition to the long-travel singlecrown fork market previously dominated by Rockshox and Fox. The arrival of the Helm was just what the industry needed to shake itself up a bit.<\/p>\n

With an adjustable 100-170mm travel range, boost axle spacing and tool-free volume adjustment, the Helm certainly sets itself apart from the competition dramatically. A single fork that can be adjusted to fit the needs of everyone from trail riders to enduro racers is no small feat. The durability of the fork was the main question on most people’s lips, however. A fork that good on paper was a serious contender if it could stand up to heavy abuse.<\/p>\n
