La nouvelle conception du levier et de l\u2019\u00e9trier promet d&#8217;accro\u00eetre sa puissance de 15 % tout en augmentant la modulation. Le Code \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 un syst\u00e8me de freinage respect\u00e9 chez les adeptes de descente et de freeride, mais cette nouvelle s\u00e9rie d&#8217;am\u00e9liorations permettra au Code RSC de dominer la concurrence.<\/p>\n<p>Le corps du levier Code est la premi\u00e8re modification et la plus \u00e9vidente.\u00a0Inspir\u00e9 du levier Guide, le nouveau design permet d&#8217;actualiser sa port\u00e9e et d&#8217;ajuster les points de contact (il encore plus facile \u00e0 utiliser avec des gants que son ancienne version). Le nouveau levier de freinage b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie \u00e9galement de la came SwingLink du Guide, ce qui augmente la puissance lorsque le levier est tir\u00e9 plus loin dans sa course. Cette conception signifie plus de modulation ainsi qu&#8217;une meilleure puissance lorsque les freins commencent \u00e0 mordre.<\/p>\n<p>La descente de comp\u00e9tition cr\u00e9e un stress additionnel sur le frein; la conception de ce dernier doit donc en tenir compte. SRAM a augment\u00e9 de 30 % le volume du r\u00e9servoir du levier Code pour obtenir une meilleure dissipation thermique. Cette pression plus importante donne un freinage puissant, ce qui conduit in\u00e9vitablement au surchauffage. Voil\u00e0 pourquoi le nouvel \u00e9trier du Code est dot\u00e9 d&#8217;un \u00e9cran thermique suppl\u00e9mentaire situ\u00e9 entre le patin et le piston.
