That’s why we are so excited to bring this new brand on board, offering top-of-the-line components that will help take riders to the next level.
About 5DEV
Co-founders Steve and Chris met at a local bike shop back in 1998. Shortly after realizing the potential of 5 Axis machining, they opened a small CNC job shop. Since then, 5th Axis became a world leader in the manufacturing of complex components for military, aerospace, and medical industries.
Having been mountain bikers for more than 30 years, Chris and Steve always had the idea of making cycling components. After seeing the limited availability of parts and supply chain issues caused as a result of the pandemic, that idea finally became reality, and thus, 5DEV was born.
All of 5DEV’s components are designed and manufactured in their state-of-the-art facility located in San Diego, using premium quality space-grade alloys together with the very same machinery used to make components for Space X rockets. Thanks to their 5 Axis CNC machines, 5DEV is able to produce product in days, compared to the months or years it can normally take.
