This morning Wahoo announced their latest cycling computer, the Elemnt mini.
The Mini holds the position of the perfect intermediate step between the full power of a computer like the Wahoo Elemnt and a more basic entry-level computer, but with the functionality to be a real training tool.
Just like with the Elemnt and Elemnt BOLT, the Mini is super simple to set up- clip it on, and use the smart-phone interface to set it up in seconds- pairing is as simple as scanning an QR code.
The Elemnt Mini can operate in two modes- paired with your phone, or as a standalone computer.
In standalone mode, the Elemnt Mini features
- Dual-band technology
- Wireless connection & uploads
- Companion app set up
- Fully customizable screen
- Intelligent Buttons
- Partner App Automatic Uploads
- Speed Sensor Included
- 1.8 “Diagonal Screen Size
When paired with your smartphone (which only needs to be kept nearby, in a pocket for example), the Elemnt Mini is capable of:
- GPS Ride Tracking
- Live Tracking
- Text, & Phone Alerts
- Record full ride history (route map, elevation, etc.)
The Elemnt Mini comes with everything you need to get started, including a speed sensor and stem mount, and is compatible with everything short of your old flipphone.
